What is carpooling with Comeego ?
- Comeego is a new cheap means of transport for students for any distance.
- Comeego is a safe way of driving : you will find on it your 'Capitaine de soirée', the one who didn't drink alcohol !
- Comeego makes students of campuses meet to share their rides and build friendship.
It's an ecological way of saving money.
Carpooling is the fact of being more than one in a car. Meaning, if several people go for a ride in the same car : oil is shared, CO2 emissions are shared... And money is saved ! Let's take an example of long distance carpooling. If you do Paris-Brest/Brest-Paris once a month to meet your family, it will cost :
- 180€ if you're alone in your car.
- 100€ on average by train (If you've got between 25% and 50% reductions).
- 45€ doing carpooling with 3 other people in your car. Isn't it nice ?
A secure means of transport
There are three main reasons for that :
- First : taking passengers increases driver's concentration,
- Second : having a driver can be very useful, and particularly to come back from alcoholic parties,
- Third : the majority of the people on Comeego comes from campuses. Your driver or your passenger(s) won't be unknown.
A convenient and friendly means of transport
Carpooling is convenient : you can access nearly any destination. Well, you know what a car is.
Carpooling is also a way of meeting other people from other universities, campuses and organisations. It simply brings you friends with other backgrounds.
